National award winner Khiladi Kumar has made a name for himself as a national hero. The actor has received critical applause for Airlift, Rustom and Jolly LLB 2. Timely he makes concrete efforts to support the average or below Indian. One such notable venture is his upcoming movie “Toilet — Ek Prem Katha”, a directorial of Shree Narayan Singh.
The movie trailer was released on 11 June and has received more than 5 million views and is still mushrooming. The story revolves around the nationwide cleanliness campaign “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”, launched by PM Modi. Starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles, the movie also features the versatile Anupam Kher, Divyendu Sharma and Sana Khan in supporting roles.
Keshav (Akshay Kumar) and Jaya (Bhumi) challenge the long-existing grave issue of open defecation in their village. Both fight against all the odds to aware their village people about the sanitation needs. “Ashiqon ne to ashiqui ke liye Taj Mahal bna diye, sala hum ek sandass na bna ske”. This line at the end of trailer reflects the crux of the movie.
PM Narendra Modi applauded Akshay for his wonderful contribution to the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. The PM took his Twitter handle to say that the movie was a good initiative to promote cleanliness in the country.
The film is set out to release on August 11. This time Keshav is all set to challenge the India’s sanitation crisis. Well the movie is a perfect warp-up of love, fun and awareness.
